About:China Visa on Arrival

Belgian citizen travels from Malaysia to Shanghai

we have a Belgian citizen colleague who is in Malaysia for the moment and needs to go to Shanghai for an urgent meeting of 1 day, can he stay for 72 hrs without a visa?

If he goes to a third country or region after visiting Shanghai, he can stay for 72 hours without the entry permit.
