How long is the visa for a UK passport holder applying for a chinese tourist type in NZ?

Thanks. Does the entry permit start once approved or on entry to the country. How long is it valid for?

It is usually valid for three months, starting from the date of approval. The allowed stay duration starts from the date following your entry to the country.
