About:Hong Kong Airport Express Travel Pass

Airport Express/AE Travel Pass with two trips (for 5 days)

I am going to be in Hong Kong from Sunday night to Friday afternoon. Should we buy an AE Travel Pass with two trips to/from the airport? How much does it cost altogether? I am not sure what is meant by 'The price is HK$220 and HK$300 respectively (with HK$50 refundable deposit).' And can we get a full refund of the remaining balance at the airport before we leave? For the two days that are not covered by the three-day travel pass, should we pay for each trip or buy a day pass?

If you will use MTR a lot as well as the AE Train, the Travel Pass is a good choice. It costs 220HKD for a single trip on AE and three days unlimited rides on MTR, and 300HKD for two journeys (can be a round trip) and three days unlimited rides on MTR. The Travel Pass won't have any balance, just 50HKD refundable fee.

After the three days or within the period, you can top it up, then it can be used as a Octopus Card, which can be used on MTR, buses and ferries, enjoying some discounts on these rides.
