About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

what will be the longest stay visa I can apply for? I'm UK citizen.

Hi I'm planning on visiting china for tourist purposes and will be invited by a Chinese national to stay with them, I don't have a return flight booked as a I don't know which city I'll be leaving from is it still possible to apply then book my return flight inside mainland? Also

Luke, then you need to ask that guy to send you an invitation letter if you don't plan to book your air tickets. Of course a copy of his Chinese ID is required. Honestly, the consular officers decide how long you can stay no matter you try to apply for a three months or one year L type. Usually, duration of the L type can be 30 or 60 days. Its validity can be three months, six months and 12 months.
