About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Are there any news how 72h are counted for Beijing?

So, if I arrive, for example at 02:00 on 1st July, 72h are counting from 00:00 on 2nd July and I should leave latest at 23:59 on 4th July? Right?
Thanks!

George, according to Beijing immigration office, the 72 hours are counted from the time you have gone through all formalities of the free transit application. It's not counted that late.

Thank you! One more question:
I took/bought a plane ticket, and it says Booking Status is confirmed, but for the seat, it can be chosen only 48h before the flight. Will it make any problem?
