About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Boyfriend is moving role to HKG within same company from the uk , can I as his girlfriend go as well

Can I go with him and stay with him at his new residence on a tourist visa ? he will have a temporary residence visa organised though the company he works for now , am I then allowed to look for work in PRC and once found apply for a work type / temp residence permit. I am a freelance Illustrator that currently does a lot of work from home in the UK.

Jan, would you mind clariflying that you are moving to Hong Kong or to Mainland China? The relevant immigration requiredments are different in these two regions.

Jan, if you hold British passport, you have 90 days free stay in HK. If you just want to go there to accompany your boyfriend, then you needn't apply for any type in advance. If you plan to work there, then you should find an employer that is willing to recruit you. Then you can try to apply for the work entry permit with your employer's help.
