What was the role of women and children in the Shang Dynasty

Hi, women during that period had a relatively high rank compared with females in later dynasties till the end of Qing. They also played roles as officers and businesswomen then. As for children, the children from the royal family were allowed to be educated in imperial institute. Generally, children from civilian families just were usually hired to be sheepherders or apprentices.

I feel like you're talking about the tang dynasty instead of Shang, because they actually have no position at all...
