About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

I plan to mainland China and Taiwan

Hi
I applied for a single entry Visa for China for 30 days. After 28 days in mainland I will fly to Taiwan for one week. Can I book a flight from Taiwan to Beijing and another flight from Beijing to UK for my return?
I will spend less than 10 hours in Beijing airport, but my single entry will have expired. However, I won't actually be entering into mainland again, just the airport.
