Dear Sir or Madam,Would you please advise how my 15 year old son can apply for a Chinese entry permit? My son and I live at Georgia, USA.  We have a flight and hotel reservation to visit Beijing, China, from July 28, 2015 to July 31, 2015.•          Currently we both have US passports.•          My son was born at January, 2000, in USA.  I had my green (US permanent resident) card at August, 2000.  His dad was born in US and is a US citizen.  His dad studied at Beijing University during summer 11 years ago.  His dad will not travel at this time.  However, his dad recommended for my son and I to visit Beijing to learn history and cultures during this summer.Thank you and I look forward to hearing your advice.Best regards.

Jin, since your son was born before you got the green card, he has to apply for a special Chinese travel document for the consulate that has jurisdiction in your area. if requires both of you present at the consulate. If your husband can't come there, he has to write an announcement that he agrees your son applies for the travel document. This announcement has to be notarized at the notary office. The required documents include:1. filled the application form for Chinese passport/travel document/return certificate2. 4 recent months photos in white ground. Its size should be 48mmX33mm3. your son's birth certificate (original and copy versions)4. your and your husband's passports (original and copy versions). Since your husband isn't in the USA, then just the copy version is ok.5. original and copy versions of your marriage certificate6. original and copy versions of your green card
