About:Shanghai Transportation by Air

Departure from Pudong airport

I just found out I will be staying at

Lake Malaren Int'l Convention Center Hotel
888 Luofen Rd, Baoshan, Shanghai, China

Seems located out of nowhere. My flight is in Pudong Airport 26th June; Friday at 1.00AM!!!

There are 4 adults (maybe around 3 luggage)

Can I ask for opinion to the airport at Ungodly hour:

1) Should I get a taxi (is 1 taxi enough?)

2) Hired a transport vehicle?

3) Take the Metro? Am I right that Meilan Lake is the nearest metro? Though not sure what time I should board it. Is it advisable with luggage?(Not sure if there is lift?)

1. Four passengers are allowed to get into one taxi. How big is your luggage? If they can be contained by the trunk, one taxi should be OK for you. The cab fare will be CNY 310 to 320 in the night.
2. As you depart quite early in the morning or can say much late in the evening, hiring a vehicle will bring you much convenience and save you much money. If you want, you can contact travel@travelchinaguide.com for details. As I know, they offer car rental service with drivers.
3. Yes, Meilan Lake Station is the closest metro station. From there, you can take metro line 7 to Jing'an Temple, Exit 4. Then walk to City Terminal Building to take airport shuttle bus line 2. The operating hours of this shuttle bus are from 05:30 - 21:30. Yu can take the one at 21:30 or the one earlier. Duration of aiport shuttle is about an hour. It is generally advised to reach airport 3 hours ahead of departure for an international flight.

Oh, yes. You can take subway line 2, get off at Pudong Airport Station, Exit 1. Then walk to terminal buildings.
Almost each metro station has escalator or elevator.
You need tell these two destinations to the staff. And she will give you two tickets one time.

Hi Sandy,

Can I take the metro from Jing'an temple to pudong international airport instead of a bus?

Just curious, does the metro has escalator or elevator?

when I buy the ticket, Do i tell the counter Pudong internationa airport? or have to buy separately? Jing'an temple then pudong airport?
