how can i find out if my residence permit is still ok?

Does it expire on the date posted or is their a general time for residence permit validity?  My assignment ended in Feb.  Did it expire with my visa expiration? Also regarding the background check if I have to start fresh will they conduct one?Thank u so much.Mirissa

The residence permit expires on the date shown on the paper itself in normal cases. However, there is a possibility that the exit and entry department will cancel your residence permit if your employer has first cancelled your working Z type. If you apply for a new working type, the officer will not conduct criminal background check.
