I wish to travel from Tashkurgan to Shanghai in the following way.01.Tashkurgan  to Kashgar  by Bus02 Then head for Urumqi.         by Bus03 Urumqi to Shanghai.       by train or airplease let me know if it is possible? How many days would I need to cover the journey? Please let me also know if I can enter these cities simply on China tourist visa or I would need some special permit?

01. The bus ride takes about 5 hours.02. Due to the long distance, it is better to take a train and the duration is about 20 hours. You'd better leave 4-5 days for the journey if by road. If by flight, 3 days are enough. You also need to apply for a Border Travel Permit from local police station.
