i already have a work visa that expired bit i have residence permit as well.

Question

Can I renew the work type or I have to start all over again.  And will they do criminal background check?Thank you.

Mirissa, are you sure that your residence permit remains valid? If you are sure about it and you have a legal work contract with a Chinese enterprise, then you can renew your work permit and residence permit. Generally speaking, they will not conduct the criminal background investigation.
