About:Hainan 30-Day Visa-Free Access

I am an Indian passport holder bit I am permanent in HK do I have to apply for Visa?

If I have to, do I just apply for a China Visa or is the Hainan Visa different?

Unfortunately, Indian citizens are not eligible for both Hainan VOA and Hainan 30 day visa free access at the time being. If you want to travel to Hainan, it is enough to apply and obtain usual Chinese tourist (L) visa. This visa covers entire area of mainland China, Hainan included.
