kunming/luoping/yuangyang during chinese new year recommendablenot?

Hi everybody,i plan to travel to Yunnan area in February 2016 currently we are thinking about to be at 08.02.2016 in Luoping (during 1rst chinese new year celebration) and to visit Yuanyang afterwards... could you recommend these areas during this time? New year celebrations in Luoping? To many visitors in Yuangyang? Thank you very much for your suggestions...cheers Jasmin from Germany

Yes, it is a good time. Spending Chinese New Year in Luoping will be interesting, and there are fewer visitors at that time. You can also experience the special local customs and their leisurely life style. Yuanyang is tranquil at that time, and the terrace is filled with water. If it snows, it will be more beautiful.
