About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

So basically I've used the one entry on my visa.

But I'm now thinking of going to Hong Kong with friends a few days before I leave Shanghai for good. So I'd leave Shanghai on the 18th, come back on the 21st, and leave again for good on the 22nd. Am I able to?

Also I'll be stopping over in Malaysia and the UK before going to my home country Ireland and wouldn't need entry permits for any of these which confuses me about the requirements

Ciaran, do you hold a single, double or multiple entry? If it is a single entry one, you need to apply for another one in HK before you get back to Shanghai. If it is a double or multiple entry one, then you shouldn't have any problem.

For entering Malaysia, you'd better consult with Malaysian embassy in PRC whether you need to provide an entry permit.
