About:Chinese Consulate in Toronto

I am travelling in Asia from Sept. 2015 to May 2016. Can I get a Chinese visa for April?

Kamal, do you mean to get it now for the China trip of next April? It is too early to apply at present. You can apply for the L type about one month in advance during your trip in Asia.
