About:Former Residence of Lu Shaoxu

Hello, I'm currently in China on a student visa but got a summer internship here.

Over the course of the summer my student type will expire so I will need to apply for a new one that will likely be a service type. Do I absolutely have to leave to get a renewal? If so what do you recommend in terms of going to S. Korea, Japan, or HK for renewal?

John, you can try to convert the X type into an F type or Z type at the local eixt and entry administration office. If the officer dinies your application, you have to apply for one outside China. I personally think Japan is a better choice than others.

Thank you for replying. Unfortunately it looks like Korea is the cheapest option-does anyone know if ARC is still absolutely necessary to receive a Chinese entry permit in Korea?

John, I didn't hear that ARC card requirement was cancelled. However, some applicants claim that they were not required to provide the ARC cards when they applied via the travel agencies. If you really want to apply in SK, then I think you might apply via the agency.
