can i work in china with residential permit for 1 year ?

I came here in china in may 2015 on S1 type. Within 30 days i got my residential permit for a year . So, can i get any job like part time or contract based job in china? can i work as a English teacher in china ? I don't have any work visa. Please advice. Thanks.

According to relevant regulations, foeigners in China with the S1 type cannot work. If they participate in part time job, it will be illegal and their interests cannot be protected.
