About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need to claim the checked-in luggage?

Hi,

We will travel from USA to India with a 15-hour stopover in Beijing. We plan to avail the 72-hour visa facility and visit Beijing for a few hours. Do we need to claim our checked-in luggage before going through the customs? Or we can leave the checked-in luggage with the airlines?

Thank you,

Amit, if you are using the same airline in and out, it's likely that you don't need to claim your luggage. I suggest you confirm this with your airline.
