About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Info on 72 hour transit visa

Im a US citizen so first off do i need any entry permit to go Hong Kong? Secondly if I fly from Hong Kong to Beijing and spend two days just to visit the great wall of china and fly out to Japan from there do I qualify for the 72 hour free transit? Lastly, how would i Get the free transit and does it cost money to get?

Hey Josh!
1. You don't need the HK entry permit for a stay less than 90 days.
2. You do qualify for the 72 hour fee transit.
3. You can apply for the free transit in the service counter of Beijing airport after your arrival. The service is free of charge.
