About:China Travel Tips

Help with itinerary to China

We are planning to do a trip in China in July. The itinerary looks as follows, and we are wondering if this is the best order to visit these places and if timing is ok:

July 12th Qingdao-Zhangjiajie
July 16th Zhangjiajie- Xian
July 18 Xian - Jiuzhaigou
July 22 Jiuzhaigou-Chengdu-Guiyang (to visit Huangguoshu and Zhijin Cave)
July 25 Guiyang-Guilin (to visit Li river)
July 27 Guilin-Shanghai

Is this itinerary doable and if this is the best order to visit these places? We are planning to travel mostly by flight between these places. Thanks.

If you don’t mind, I would make some changes of your itinerary so that you can make full use of your time with little detour.

July 12 Qingdao – Xian
July 14 Xian –Jiuzhaigou - Chengdu
July 18 Chengdu – Guiyang
July 21 Guiyang – Zhangjiajie (with a transfer in Changsha)
July 24/25 Zhangjiaijie – Guilin
July 27 Guilin - Shanghai

For all these trips, you can travel by air.

Well, this is the best route I could have provided. I think you have enough time to explore each place. Have a nice trip.
