Im a American citizenliving and working (on military orders) in Germany and need to obtain a tourist L for one week. How do I go about applying for it while I am in Germany?

James, you need to go to the CVASC center to apply. There are several centers in Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich and Hamburg. Different centers have their own consular areas. You need to find the one that has jurisdiction over your area. The required documents are: your passport, filled application form, a recent passport photo, round-trip air tickets, hotel booking and your resident permit in Germany.
