Going to Suzhou in winter (December/January)

Hi there!

I would like to know if you recommend going there during winter time (December/January).

Yes, that is a good time to visit the city. The weaher is pleasant, not too cold but cool. The average temp is about 42 -44 F. It is also quite sunny. There is little rain, which is a perfect season to travel there at that time.

December might be a good time to visit a museum and shop. However, a sprinkling of snow makes the local gardens look beautiful, and there is much less crowding because December is low season. Recommend that you visit the local gardens when they are not crowded so that their beauty and the music can be better appreciated when its quiet.
