Im 23 yr old Capricorn Sheep and my boyfriend 43 yr old Gemini Pig. Can it work?

I would like to marry soon, but he has a strong and VERY negative influence from parents. Father is a dog and mother is a monkey. As honest and loyal and devoted I am to them and their son, they always look for judgement, criticism and suspicion in me. Very up and down. Sometimes they like me sometimes they don't. They are very controlling. I am afraid to marry their son and have their negative influence for the rest of my life.
