About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Arrival from Hong Kong

I plan to travel. Bangkok/ Hong Kong/ Xiamen then stay for 48 hrs, then I have to return to Bangkok, either via HKG or PVG . Will I be allowed the visa free option or must my return be to a totally different country?

Dermot, if you want to use the free transit policy, you should return directly from Xiamen to Bangkok or another third country. If you transit in HKG or PVG, your route is not eligible.

Hi, thanks. Slight change. I will arrive into Xiamen on a direct flight from Bangkok and leave 48 hrs later on a direct flight to Hong Kong. Is this OK ?
