About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

resident visa for my son

My 9year old grandson in nanping. parents in south africa. he has a resident permit and lives with his chinese grandma. it says it expires in august 2015. will he have to exit or wil he have to stay on he goes to school there? He has ZA pasport.

Mrs, I think it's possible that he can extend his resident permit without leaving. However, it depends on local entry and exit management bureau. If they require that your son should apply after exiting mainland, then he has to leave.
