where to buy guangzhou metro smart card?

I arrive by plane to Baiyun airport. Am staying in the city for several days and want to buy a smartcard. Where can I buy it after arriving the airport and how far is it from airport to nearest subway station? Can I buy it from a machine and can I top up the card from any station?

The subway station is only 600 yards from thr arrival hall, and there are signs in English indicating the direction to the airport south subway station. In the Customer Service Center of the subway station, you can get a smart card and it can be topped up in any other stations.
