About:Marriage Registration in China

I didn't receive any marriage certificate from the civil affairs office.

My wife may have received both of them, but I don't think so.She stayed in China until 1 year after the marriage ,as she didn't have her canadian permanent residency until the end of december 2011.My lawyer said the one I have is a copy, and here in New Brunswick Canada you have to have the original,or a certified copy, and I have a paper saying the copy was a copy of the original.Maybe the lawyer doesn't know the paper is a notarial certificate, but she should know.I live in Canada, and don't plan on going to China.I guess I'll have to try to find the address of the Dalian China Civil Affairs office,or I maybe be able to contact the Canadian embassy in Dalian or Beijing.
