About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

can I get a simple visa at my Hong kong hotel?

I am in Hong Kong for a visit and would like to spend one day in Guangzhou.

Jerry, generally speaking, if you do not own Hong Kong residence status, it's not easy for you to get the mainland entry permit from there. However, since you are visiting for only one day, you can try to get it at the Commissioner Office of PRC Foreign Affairs Ministry or through an agency.

I was able to get one at the airport...it will take 24 hours and will pick it up at an office in Kowloon
