About:How to Get from Hangzhou to Shanghai

Late night bus from HongQiao to Hangzhou?

Whenever I miss the last train from Shanghai HongQiao there are people trying to sell me bus tickets. I know they overcharge me, but I don't know how else to get home. How can I buy a bus ticket after 10:00pm and HongQiao?

Actually, at late night, there is no public bus. The private buses around there may overcharge at night, but the price will not be too high. Just negotiate with them for a flat rate before boarding in case of being scammed. You can take one, or you can stay nearby overnight and in the next day by a bullet train or bus to your destination (the first bullet trains leaves at 06:30 in the next morning).

Hello again, Warren. I just noticed that the last normal train leaves from the South Rail Station at 23:32. Upon landing at Hongqiao, you can take a taxi to the train station in around 20min, at a cost of CNY50 and catch the train. It takes around 3h and 40min. Hope this way suits you.
