Arrive late

Hello. We book high speed train from Kunming to Dali which will depart at 7.35am, Yunnan. Since we will take subway from Kunking airport to Kunming railway station, if we arrive a little bit late, for example 7.37 and miss the train, is it possible to take the next train at 7.49am or I need to buy a new ticket?
