About:Hong Kong MTR - East Rail Line

How much does it cost from Luohu Station to Kowloon Tong Station?

I plan to goto Hongkong from shenzhen and would like to know how much does it cost for one ticket from LuoHu Station to Kowloon Station.

What time is the train station open?

Do we have to book the ticket in advance?

Pass the immigration from Luohu Station, you will arrive at Lo Wu Station, where you can take the East Rail line to the station directly. The fare is HKD 37.5 for standard class seat.
From Lo Wu, the first train departs at 05:55, and it will be open at 05:30 around.
You don't need to book the ticket in advance. You can take one upon your arrval.

May I know that whether the octopus card can be use in both rail in Shenzhen and HK?

I heard that if you use the octopus card you will get discount. Is that true?

A special Octopus Card named Hu Tong Xing can be both used in HK and Shenzhen and yes, you can get some discounts on metro of the two cities. You can buy one in the Customer Service Center of many MTR stations in HK.

Hi Mona, any idea that where can I get the Hu Tong Xing from Shenzhen?

As my first destination is to Shenzhen and i will take rail from Luohu to Kowloon station.

Oh, as I know, you can buy that card at metro stations of Futian Port , North Shenzhen Railway Station, Luohu Station and Shekou Port. :-)
