i am a belgian living in istanbul; can i apply in Brussels for a Chinese L type when i am there may 25 (monday) and get it back by friday may 9 with the expedited service? i tried to apply in Istanbul, but unfortunately they will take 1.5-2 weeks and i can't go that long without my Belgian passport

Koen, you can get back to apply. However, you should go to the CVASC branch. Its location is No. 109 Rue Neerveld, Woluwe Saint-Lambert 1200，Bruxelles.Normally, it takes four working days. If you are in a hurry, you can apply for the express (3 working days) or rush service (2 working days).

thanks, Kevin! my key question though is whether they will make trouble of me having my legal residence abroad (istanbul) and whether i need anything more than my residence permit there. moreover, i have the invitation letter, completed application, pictures, passport photo and proof of flight, but do i also need proof of hotel accommodation or other things? THANKS!
