Inquiry concerning sending beer for personal use to China residents

Hello,
I want to send beer for personal use as a Belgian online beer selling company by courier from Belgium to private residents of PRC, not as a gift and without any licence. Is this allowed? Is there a maximum quantity that can be sent?

Jan, according to the rules, people can send parcels below CNY1000 in total. However, this doesn't mean that you can send many bottles. The customs actually doesn't regulate the quantity. There is just one general rule "within reasonable quantity and for personal use only".

I tried to search on the internet and found that some people once sent six bottles wine back to China. And he paid the tax for four bottles. The tax rate is 50 percent.

Before sending beer into PRC, you'd better consult with the company and local post office and ask if it is allowed to post liquid products.
