About:Baggage Allowance for International Flights

is there a maximium size for a painting i can bring as odd size luggage on SAA and Air China

Yes, the Lenght Widht and Height of your painting shouldn't be more than 158cm if you plan to take it as checked luggage for free. If you plan to pay for it, the limit is 203cm.
