Itinerary advice

Need to start in Beijing and end in Shanghai. Want to include Hangzhou, Suzhou & possibly Huangshan. Can you give advice on the best way to do this? Our preferred method of travel is high speed train.

First of all, the recommended route is Beijing - Suzhou - Hangzhou - Yellow Mountain - Shanghai.

At Beijing South Station, take a high speed train to Suzhou North in around 5.5h. After the visit in Suzhou, take a high speed train at the Suzhou Station to Hangzhou in 1.5-2h. For the mountain, you should take a long-distance bus at Hangzhou West Bus Station and it will directly take you to the scenic area in 4h. Afterwards, direct buses to Shanghai are available from the scenic area and they are scheduled at 6:30, 07:20, 13:30, 15:30 and 17:00.
