About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

The required ARC with at least 6 months remaining.

I am on a D-2 visa in South Korea, but I am a U.S. citizen. I was wondering if I am still able to apply for a Chinese entry permit while my D2 will expire in 4 months and not 6, and I am unable to apply for an extension. I can give you the information for my return flight from Korea to the U.S. to give you proof of validity of my stay. Thank you for your time.

Anna, since you can provide the flight tickets back to the US, I think it's worth a try to get the Chinese entry permit at the CVASC office in South Korea. You have a chance to get it. In addition, a few days ago, I read a post. A guy said he has obtained it via a travel agent even though the remaining validity of his ARC card was shorter than six months.
