About:Forbidden City

Ticketing and guide for Forbidden City

I will get to Beijing only by 1 pm on Saturday 9 May. That afternoon is the only time I have to see the palace. Do you think I will have trouble getting an entry ticket at about 2pm?
Also, do you suggest I hire a guide, or can I go through place on my own?

It shouldn't be a problem to get a ticket at 14:00. You can go through the palace on your own, just follow the clear direction boards. Or if you want, you can hire an English speaking guide to know more stories behind each attraction. Have fun~
