About:Beijing Transportation

Going from AIR Port to FX Hotel ,68 West road north 4th ring road Zhongguancun

I arrive at 6pm at Airport, what is best way to go to my above hotel? is it shuttle bus or train or taxi. How long will it take and how much cost me? Please someone direct me. I go alone and understand communication is difficult.

Upon landing, you can take airport shuttle bus line 5, and get to Zhongguancun (No.4 Bridge) Station. The operating hours are 06:50 ~ 24:00 with the ticket fare of CNY 24. It takes around an hour.
After arriving, take a taxi to the hotel directly. The cab fare is CNY 30 to 40. It takes 10 to 15 mins.

How much will cost me taxi direct to Hotel? how long will it take being traffic time. I think even shuttle bus take time.

If you wanna take a taxi from the airport and get to your hotel directly, the cab fare is CNY 110 to 120 in the day time. In usual time, it takes 40 to 50 mins on the way.

You seems to be having good knowledge of China.

What do you think? Shuttle bus or taxi is better. Wonder, taxi might take long time as peak traffic hours and charges could be more for traffic delay. Unless if i could get a taxi at Airport at fixed rate to destination. is this possible?

Well, both these two ways have each advantages.
Taking shuttle bus is an economical way. And taking a taxi is a faster way.
If meeting the traffic jam, taxi is still a little bit faster than shuttle bus in most cases.
All in all, you are advised to start off early and leave enough transportation time. :-)
