About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72-Hour transit facility

I have a Canadian passport, I will be arriving to Shanghai from Japan, and wish to stay in Shanghai for 72 hours prior to my return flight to Canada (Japan -> Shanghai -> Canada), am I eligible for the 72 hour visa, even though my outward ticket is my home (Canada)?

Thank you!

Chris, your itinerary is good for the transit facility. You are eligible to get the free transit.
