About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

does this affect the 72 hour visa for beijing?

I am wanting a 72 hour visa in beijing, my flight is from sydney aus to beijing going through guangzhou ( 3 hour transit layover).

Yes, I'm afraid the layover in Guangzhou will affect the 72-hour free transfer. If you want to enjoy this policy, you can only transit in one city.
