hi,im togolese living in china.i have chinese residence permit for study.now i wanna change the residence permit for study to family residence permit because my wife is chinese.

Mike, you'd better go to the local entry and exit management bureau to confirm this. In some areas, the applicants are required to exit and then apply for Q type. However, since you have resident permit for your study, I think you may not need to exit to apply.
