Chinese Visa for Canadian in Turkey

I am in Turkey (Istanbul) on a 6 month tourist type and need to go to China in early-mid May, for a job interview. I do not have a Turkish residence permit. Is it possible for me to obtain one at the consulate in Istanbul? The potential employer has issued an invitation letter. Regards, Jack P

Jack, I think you are likely to get your L type from Chinese embassy in Turkey. According to Chinese embassy, those who have resident permits for employment, study or valid entry permits in the third country can apply in Turkey.
