Do I need a visa if Im only going to be in transit for less than 24 hours in Beijing airport?

Hello I´m a colombian citizen and i´m planning to travel to Beijing for 5 days and then fly to Japan. On my way back I have a flight from tokyo to beijing to catch my fly to Paris.

Maria, for your 5-day visit in Beijing, an L type entry permit is needed. For your layover there, you don't need the transit permit because you qualify for the 24-hour direct transit policy.
