change my airline booked ticket to an earlier date

hi, I'm in shanghai. I've got a booked ticket to Sydney on the 05/05/15 like to change to earlier date do I need to go to a special office or do I need to go to airport to change my day of departure due to unforseen family commitments please could someone help me thanx

Did you book the ticket through an agent or directly from the airline? Anyway, it is possible to change the ticket and you should turn to your agent or the airline directly. The ticket changing issue sometimes is not easy to handle at the airport.
