Do i need invitation letter for family visit when I'm applying China visa?

Yes, the invitation letter from the family you are planning to visit is needed. However, if you are just applying for a tourist type entry permit for family visit, you can present round-trip tickets and hotel reservations to take place of the invitation letter.0
