About:Chinese Embassy in Costa Rica

Are you required to apply in person, or is there a service available?

I am in the USA on a tourist visa and cannot apply here.

Laura, it is required that applicants must be in the country where they submt the applications. That is, you cannot apply for the entry permit at Costa Rica while you are in the USA, even though you entrust others to do it for you. You are suggested to try to apply for the entry permit at USA because you are holding a valid US entry permit.
