About:Visa Policy of China

We have passports but we want to go do a half-day tour in Beijing do we need visas?

My sister and I will be on a nine hour layover in Beijing when we travel back from Thailand to the United States.

No, the entry permit is not needed because you are eligible for the free transit policy.
