What is the best route to go when obtaining a visa for visit?

Hi, I am visiting shenzhen at the beginning of May 2015. I am coming from United States and will be visiting for 2-weeks in shenzhen. Also, how does the process work when hiring an agent to handle the application before I leave for shenzhen China?

Hi, Nico, as far as I am concerned, you should get an L type from the consulate which has consular jurisdiction over your residence address. The process is quite simple. You don’t need to make any appointment. Just book your trip first. Then prepare the required documents, such as passport, photo, application form, tickets, hotel reservations, etc. Then go to the consular office and submit the application. If you have enough time, it’s no need to hire an agent.
